Family run hotel in a listed building dating from 1730's, offering Bed and Breakfast accommodation with home-cooked meals and two real ales. A major refurbishment programme has been implemented, with a real fire ensuring a cosy welcome. Ecclefechan is a picturesque village, visited by Robert Burns, and the birthplace of Thomas Carlyle. It is a convenient stop for travellers being close to Junction 19 of the M74. Biker friendly. May close early when quiet. Thursday and Sunday opening are a trial to see if they are needed in summer months (introduced 27 June 2026). Check Facebook for events and opening at other times. Bar open other evenings for residents.
