After scooping up another Dumfries & Stewartry Pub of the Year award for 2017, Cavens Arms in Dumfries became one of the four finalists in the running for CAMRA's Scottish Pub of the Year for 2017. The title was finally won by The Bridge Inn, Peebles, with the other finalists being The Crown Inn, Biggar and The Speedwell Bar (Mennies) in Dundee.
